Q: How can I become a member?

A: Individuals cannot become members of the Open Mobility Foundation. Only organizations can become members. Individuals can become contributors, who participate in activities like software development or working in committees that focus on issues related to the Open Mobility Foundation Mission.

Q. How can I become a contributor?

A: Contributors are individuals who working on projects in OMF. Contributors need to review the OMF Participation Policies, and the Individual CLA, and then can sign up. See Contributor Sign Up for more details.

Q. Can I become a contributor if I am an not an employee of a Open Mobility Foundation Member?

A: Yes. There are several situations where this can happen.

You have no employer, and just want to contribute to the OMF effort. Sign up following the steps described in Contributor Sign Up.

You are not an employee of a Member Organization, but you are working on behalf of one. You may be a consultant or contractor, for example. The organization you are working for must agree to the terms of the Entity CLA. You should sign up following the steps described in Contributor Sign Up.

You have been invited to participate in a OMF Committee and your organization is not a member. The organization you are working for must agree to the terms of the Entity CLA . You should sign up following the steps described in Contributor Sign Up, and have your employer follow the steps in Entity CLA.
